Fortis Hospital Gurugram Launches North India’s First Advanced Constipation & Pelvic Clinic

The Advanced Constipation & Pelvic Clinic will provide non-invasive therapies to treat chronic constipation, urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and voiding dysfunction

Fortis Hospital Gurugram has launched North India’s first dedicated Advanced Constipation & Pelvic Clinic, introducing non-surgical, technology-driven solutions for chronic constipation and pelvic floor disorders.

In a press statement on Friday, the healthcare provider informed that the clinic, led by Dr. Gourdas Choudhuri, Chairman of Gastroenterology, along with Dr. Rinkesh Bansal and Dr. Zubin Dev Sharma, offers treatments utilising EMG biofeedback technology through a partnership with JOGO Health Pvt Ltd, a U.S.-based digital therapeutics company.

The Advanced Constipation & Pelvic Clinic will provide non-invasive therapies to treat chronic constipation, urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and voiding dysfunction. This initiative is a step forward in gastroenterological care, offering patients relief from these often underdiagnosed and undertreated conditions.

Dr. Gourdas Choudhuri emphasised the importance of this new approach: “Pelvic floor disorders and chronic constipation are frequently overlooked due to stigma and lack of awareness. With advanced EMG biofeedback technology, we are offering effective, non-surgical options that address the underlying causes.”

JOGO Health’s EMG biofeedback, recognised globally as a first-line treatment, helps patients improve muscle function without surgery. Charles Jesudasan, General Manager & Country Head of JOGO Health, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting its potential to empower patients to manage their health better.

Yash Rawat, Facility Director of Fortis Hospital Gurugram, noted that the clinic will enhance the quality of life for patients by providing specialised, innovative treatments.
